Thomas Joseph Skirtich, 75, of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Thomas was born on February 9, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Suzanne (Martin) Skirtich. He served his country with honor in the Vietnam War.
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He cherished spending time with his daughter, Tonya (Thomas) Lynn, and step-daughter, Beth (Aaron) McGovern. His grandchildren, Samantha (Jesus) Alvaro, Ryann Lynn, and Jordan and Michael McGovern, brought him immense joy.
He will be deeply missed by his family, including his mother of his daughter, Dian Lierberman, and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Skirtich, and his brother, George Skirtich.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St., Antioch, IL 60002. Military honors will be rendered at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
