The Madison community is mourning the loss of Anthony “Tony” Davis, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend who passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024, at the age of 69.

Early Life and Family

Tony was born on November 21, 1954, in Skowhegan, Maine, to the late Ethelyn and Wilbur Davis. He was one of six children and grew up in a loving and supportive family.

Education and Football

Tony attended Madison High School, where he excelled as a football player. His love for the sport remained with him throughout his life, and he later coached a little league football team in Madison.

Faith and Community

Tony was an active member of Crossroads Bible Church, where he devoted his time to mowing the lawn and tending to the grounds. He also found solace in his faith and enjoyed attending church services.

Legacy and Memories

Tony was known for his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering optimism. He had a gift for making people laugh and always put others before himself. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

Family and Friends

Tony is survived by his two daughters, Celeste Davis of Skowhegan and Kerrie Davis of Madison; his grandchildren, Landon Tingley and Taylor Tingley; his siblings, Arthur McManus, Carol Locke, Gary Davis, SueAnn McDonald, and Terry Davis; two lifelong best friends, Darrell Coro and Michael Desanctis; and many other loving family members and friends.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on June 8, 2024, at Crossroads Bible Church in Madison, Maine.
