Garvin Desjardin, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024. He was wrapped in love, surrounded by his family at the Glenridge Nursing home.

A Devoted Family Man

Garvin’s love for his family was unwavering. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was cooking meals at “Camp” or hosting gatherings in his backyard. His family’s happiness was his greatest joy.

A Dedicated Employee

Garvin had a long and successful career at the Kennebec Journal. He retired as a supervisor, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Survived by Loved Ones

Garvin is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gloria; his four children, Audrey, April, Allan, and Amy; his brother, Bobby; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gratitude for Care

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Alzheimer Care Center in Gardiner and the Glenridge Nursing Home in Augusta for their compassionate care of Garvin.

Memorial Arrangements

There will be no public visiting hours or funeral services. Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home in Augusta.
