Gloria Jean Locke Passes Away at 76

Gloria Jean Locke, a 76-year-old resident of Waterville, Maine, passed away on July 24, 2024. Gloria was born in Waterville on January 10, 1948, to John and Mary Locke. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1966 and went on to attend the University of Maine at Farmington, where she earned a degree in education. Gloria taught elementary school in Waterville for over 30 years, and she was a beloved member of the community.

Memorial Service and Life Celebration

A memorial service for Gloria will be held on August 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine. Following the service, a life celebration will be held at the VFW in Waterville.

Gloria’s Legacy

Gloria was a kind and compassionate woman who always put others before herself. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Gloria’s legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to the Waterville Public Library. The family would like to thank the staff at MaineGeneral Medical Center for their care and compassion during Gloria’s final days.
