It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John J. Hurley Jr., who passed away on June 10, 2023. John was a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Life and Legacy

John was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1950. He graduated from Boston College High School in 1968 and went on to earn a degree in business from Boston College in 1972. After college, John worked in the financial industry for several years before starting his own business.

John was a successful businessman and a generous philanthropist. He was a longtime supporter of the Boston College High School and the Boston College. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

John was a devoted family man. He married his wife, Mary, in 1975 and they had three children together. John was a loving and supportive father and always put his family first.

Death and Legacy

John passed away peacefully at his home in Wellesley, Massachusetts on June 10, 2023. He was surrounded by his family and friends.

John was a kind and compassionate man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity, and his Irish wit.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral Mass will be held for John at St. Mary’s Church in Wellesley on June 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wellesley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boston College High School or the Boston College.
