A Life Remembered
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan Shane Phillips, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. Jonathan left this world on July 27, 2024, at the age of 37, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jonathan was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 9, 1987, to John Eric Phillips Sr. and Vicki Hughes Phillips. He spent his childhood in the vibrant city of Hayden, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for his hometown.
A Loving Family
Jonathan’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving parents, John Eric Phillips Sr. and Vicki Hughes Phillips, who have always been a source of unwavering support and guidance. His sister, Hannah Lee Phillips Harper, and brother, John “Eric” Phillips Jr., were his closest confidants and cherished companions.
Jonathan’s daughter, Charlee Kate Phillips, was the light of his life. He adored her unconditionally and was committed to being the best father possible. The bond they shared was unbreakable and will forever be a testament to his love and devotion.
A Memorial Service to Honor His Memory
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Jonathan’s life and legacy. The family will announce the time and location of the service as soon as arrangements have been made. Moss Service Funeral Home will be directing the memorial service.
