Clinton Mourns the Loss of Janelle Alberta (Nason) Doig

Beloved Resident Passed Away on July 29, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that the community of Clinton mourns the loss of Janelle Alberta (Nason) Doig, who passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the age of 73.

Janelle was born in Clinton on October 1, 1951, to the late Albert and Alice (Berry) Nason. She grew up in a loving home, surrounded by her siblings and extended family.

Janelle attended Clinton Elementary School and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. She went on to study at the University of Maine at Farmington, where she earned a degree in education.

After graduating from college, Janelle returned to Clinton and began her teaching career at Clinton Elementary School. She taught for over 30 years, touching the lives of countless students.

In 1975, Janelle married her high school sweetheart, Robert Doig. Together, they raised two children, Sarah and Michael.

Janelle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.

Janelle was also an active member of the Clinton community. She volunteered for many organizations, including the Clinton Public Library, the Clinton Historical Society, and the Clinton Fire Department.

Janelle was known for her kind heart, her generous spirit, and her love of life. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the entire Clinton community.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service for Janelle will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home in Winslow.

Burial will follow at Green Lawn Rest Cemetery in Clinton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Clinton Public Library.
