Funeral Service for Noel Jackson Mize

The funeral service for Noel Jackson Mize, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama.

Obituary

Noel Jackson Mize was born on August 12, 1931, to Herbert J. Mize and Pearl Young Mize. He passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Noel was a man of many talents and passions. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a highly respected Alabama State Trooper for many years. He was also a skilled pilot, knife collector, artist, and craftsman.

Noel is survived by his wife of 67 years, Robbie Mize; his daughter, Caron Mize Whitlock (Danny); his sisters, Lynda Mize Wood and Christine Mize Henke; his grandson, Alex John-Noel Whitlock (Alexa); his great-grandchildren, Mace Ridley Whitlock and Mara Jayde Whitlock; and a host of family and friends.

Noel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a kind and compassionate man who always put others before himself. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his love of life, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Visitation and Interment

A visitation will be held the night before the funeral, on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, Noel will be laid to rest at Good Hope Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church Building Fund at 90 Good Hope School Road, Cullman, AL 35057.
