FAIRFIELD – Paul Jerald Mushero, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and pillar of the Fairfield community, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024, at the age of 88.
Born on March 18, 1936, in Oakland, Maine, to Alene and Alfred Mushero, Paul’s life was marked by a tireless work ethic, unwavering faith, and unwavering support for his family.
### A Dedicated Family Man
In 1972, Paul embarked on a lifelong journey of love and commitment with his wife, Dianne Mae. Together, they raised a large and close family of nine children: Kathy, Kelly, Kim, Shannon, Melissa, Paul, Mark, Todd, and Felicia. Paul’s devotion to his family extended to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
### A Successful Entrepreneur
Paul founded Mushero’s Jacking and Moving, a thriving company that he operated for over 60 years. His deep knowledge of the industry and unwavering determination fueled the company’s success, earning him respect and admiration from customers and colleagues alike.
Prior to establishing his own business, Paul worked at Mathews Auto Body Shop, where his keen eye for detail and meticulous craftsmanship transformed damaged vehicles into works of art. His diverse work experience laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial spirit.
### A Community Advocate
Paul’s passion for Fairfield extended beyond his family and business. He actively participated in the Fairfield Grange Hall, volunteering countless hours to its upkeep and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow members. His presence at community events was always met with warm smiles and a genuine desire to connect with his neighbors.
### A Man of Faith
Throughout his life, Paul’s unwavering faith in God guided his every step. He attended Corpus Christi Parish weekly, finding solace and inspiration in the teachings of his faith. His deep belief in God’s love and guidance provided strength and comfort during life’s challenges.
### A Legacy of Love and Service
Paul Mushero’s legacy will forever be etched in the hearts and memories of those who knew him. He was a man who lived a life of purpose, filled with love, service, and unwavering determination. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide his family, friends, and the community he held dear.
### Mass and Celebration of Life
A Mass of Intention will be held on June 7 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church in Waterville. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Waterville Elks Lodge #905 in Waterville.
