Obituary of Vickie Franklin Pierce

Cullman Funeral Home is saddened to announce the passing of Vickie Franklin Pierce, age 75, of Cullman. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Life and Legacy

Vickie was born on February 27, 1949, to Frank David Franklin and Roberta Driver Franklin. She spent her life in Cullman, where she raised a family and built a loving community around her.

Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She married the love of her life, Raymond Pierce, in 1967, and together they shared 57 wonderful years. Vickie was a dedicated mother to her son, Michael Travis Pierce, and his wife, Lenore. She adored her six grandchildren: Grace Rosa, Katie Rosa, Hayden Pierce, Charlie Pierce, and Rowan Pierce.

Beyond her family, Vickie had a passion for animals, especially dogs. She was known for her kind heart and her willingness to help those in need. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service for Vickie Franklin Pierce will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child or Cullman Caring for Kids in memory of Vickie. These organizations were close to Vickie’s heart, and your support will continue her legacy of love and compassion.
