Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans 2027 – Up to $90,000 for Graduate & Professional Study
The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans support outstanding immigrants and children of immigrants who are pursuing graduate or professional degrees in the United States. The 2027 Fellowship cycle is now open, with an application deadline of 29 October 2026 at 2:00 PM ET. Each year, only 30 exceptional New Americans are selected from a highly competitive national applicant pool.
Fellowship Benefits
- Up to $25,000/year stipend for up to two years (max. $50,000 total in stipend).
- 50% of tuition and fees covered, up to $20,000/year for up to two years (max. $40,000 total).
- Total potential funding: up to $90,000 over two years.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a New American: either a naturalized US citizen, a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), an asylee or refugee, or someone who graduated from a US high school AND a US undergraduate institution (regardless of citizenship status).
- Age: must be 30 or younger as of the application deadline (29 October 2026).
- Must be planning to enroll full-time in a degree-granting graduate or professional program in the US in the 2027–2028 academic year.
- Open to all fields of graduate and professional study.

- Top 77 applicants will be designated finalists and invited for virtual interviews in January–February 2027.
