The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will hold a crucial National Executive meeting on January 18th at Hotel Maurya in Patna, according to party sources. This meeting, convened at the behest of RJD National President Lalu Prasad Yadav, holds significant importance given the upcoming election year. It will be held in the hotel’s Ashok Hall (Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Auditorium).
RJD’s National Principal General Secretary, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, formally announced the meeting on January 4th, emphasizing that all RJD leaders are expected to attend under Lalu Prasad Yadav’s direct instructions. This was confirmed by Bhola Yadav, RJD National General Secretary, and Ejaz Ahmed, RJD Spokesperson, who both highlighted the meeting’s critical role in formulating the party’s electoral strategy.
The National Executive meeting will likely address key issues such as the party’s election strategy, potential alliances, and necessary organizational reforms. The gathering will serve as a platform for the RJD leadership to consolidate its plans and energize party workers for the upcoming challenges. It also represents an opportunity for Lalu Prasad Yadav to directly address and guide party leaders, shaping the RJD’s approach to the elections.
Meanwhile, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, has been actively engaged in the “Karyakarta Darshan-cum-Samvad Program.” This three-phase program, aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational structure and preparing for the Assembly elections, involved interactions with party leaders and grassroots workers across more than 15 districts. These districts included Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Banka, and Jamui, with participation from leaders at all levels, from panchayat to state, including district and block unit officers, MLAs, former MLAs, and previous election candidates.
