Longtime Denver Resident Shirley Anne McDonald Passes Away

Shirley Anne McDonald (Davis), a longtime Denver resident, passed away peacefully at her home in Denver, CO, on May 18, 2024. She was 89 years old.

Early Life and Education

Shirley was born in Denver, CO, on March 12, 1935, to parents John and Mary Davis. She attended West High School, where she graduated in 1952.

Career and Family Life

After graduating high school, Shirley married her husband James (Jim) McDonald on September 1, 1952. Together, they raised three children: Doug, Pam, and Julie.

Shirley was a devoted wife and mother. She was also active in her community, volunteering her time at her children’s schools and at her local church.

Legacy and Survivors

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Doug, Pam, and Julie; her grandchildren, John, Mary, Sarah, Emily, David, Matthew, and Mark; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lily, Ethan, Grace, Olivia, Benjamin, and William.

Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Arrangements

A Funeral Mass will be held for Shirley on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 2375 E. Arizona Ave., Denver, CO 80210. A private family burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
