Obituary for Doris Fritz

Doris Fritz, the former CEO of Continental Shows Inc., passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2024. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Julia (Gorski) and Roland Champagne.

Fritz graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Finance and Psychology. She took over Continental Shows, an amusement ride and show business, after her father’s passing. The company provided the midway for some of the largest fairs in New England, New York, and Florida, as well as at military bases, churches, and Italian festivals.

Fritz retired and left the company to her son, Joey, who resides in Florida. She is also survived by her daughter, Cyndi (Ronnie) Hatem of Methuen; three grandsons: Joe (Emily) Fritz of Pelham, NH, Michael (Vallon) Fritz of Windham, NH, and Steven Fritz of Nashua, NH; their mother, Pauline, of Tyngsboro; two Hatem grandsons, Ronnie Jr. and Kyle (Kristen), both of Hampton, NH; and eight great-grandchildren from the Fritz families.

Fritz was described as an amazing lady and successful businesswoman. She was a financial advisor to her family and friends, enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was known for her delicious spaghetti sauce.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, and her long-time companion, Don Bulmer of Pelham and Meredith, NH.

A private service was held in Florida.
