Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen “Kathi” Mary Falk, who passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, at the age of 76. Kathi will be lovingly remembered for her beauty, intelligence, humor, independence, strength, and unwavering spirit.

Early Life and Family

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 21, 1948, to Bertram and Florence, Kathi grew up in West St. Paul and graduated from Henry Sibley High School. In October 1966, she married her soulmate, Robert (Bob), and together they welcomed their daughter, Marni, in 1968.

Education and Career

Kathi’s pursuit of knowledge extended beyond high school. While working at Unisys, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota, a remarkable accomplishment that brought joy to her family. Her business acumen led her to a successful career as a buyer at Imation and Restore Medical, before retiring in 1999.

Passions and Interests

Kathi’s life was filled with activities that brought her joy. She and Bob shared a love for automobiles, particularly their Corvettes and street rods. They also enjoyed traveling, exploring Texas, attending concerts, and spending time with loved ones. Kathi’s culinary skills were exceptional, and she delighted in preparing meals for her family.

She had a deep appreciation for nature and animals, volunteering at the Humane Society and caring for dogs with various rescue organizations. The companionship of her cherished dog, Molly, brought her immense happiness.

Legacy of Love

Kathi’s greatest joy came from her family. She adored her daughter, Marni, and they shared an unbreakable bond. When she became a grandmother to Hailey, her love multiplied. She cherished time spent with her granddaughter, participating in tea parties, nature walks, craft projects, and movie nights.

Eternal Rest

Kathi leaves behind a void in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Marni; son-in-law, Dan; granddaughter, Hailey; brother, Bert; niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jason; beloved family and friends; and Molly, her faithful canine companion. Kathi’s memory will forever be honored by those who loved her.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Kathi’s extraordinary life will be held on May 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at White Funeral Home in Burnsville. A memorial visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, May 22, at the same location. All are welcome to join Kathi’s family and friends for a light lunch after the service.

Gratitude and Remembrance

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff at Burnsville Emerald Crest Memory Care and Brighton Hospice for their compassionate care of Kathi. They also wish to extend a special thank you to Father Bob of Mary, Mother of the Church in Burnsville, for providing the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Kathi to the Animal Humane Society or The Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of choice.

Kathi’s spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering determination will forever be etched in their hearts.
