City: Bayreuth | Level: Master’s programs, generally B2 CEFR minimum

IELTS alternative: weaker than most universities on this list — Bayreuth states plainly that studying in English does not automatically exempt you from a language certificate, and a medium-of-instruction letter requires case-by-case program-coordinator approval. Computer Science rejects it outright. PTE Academic 60 is accepted as a genuine alternative test, alongside TOEFL iBT and Cambridge. Duolingo and Linguaskill are explicitly excluded.
